Your home screen: available balance decrypted on your device, quick stats, recent activity, and the first-run checklist.

The dashboard is your at-a-glance view of the employer app and the launch point for every main action. It opens on sign-in and answers three questions fast: how much you can spend, what happened recently, and what to do next.

What you see

The screen reads top to bottom, with the balance leading and your recent runs below it.

Available balance

The hero figure at the top of the page: your spendable confidential balance, decrypted on your device with your viewing key. It carries an “only you can see this” marker because Confiroll never receives the number. Your browser reads encrypted state from the network and computes the amount locally.

Pending balance

Funds that have arrived in your receiving bucket but are not merged into your spendable balance yet. It appears next to the hero balance whenever it is non-zero, so you always know what is on the way.

Quick stats

A compact row of numbers: active contractors, your last payroll (date, total, and payout count), and your next scheduled run when you use a schedule.

Recent activity

A short table of your latest payouts and runs, each with a status and a link to the block explorer, so you can jump from a settled row to its public proof in one click.

The quick stats

Active contractors · count

How many contractors are in Ready status and payable in the next run.

Last payroll · date, total, count

When your most recent run settled, its total from your private ledger, and how many payouts it contained.

Next scheduled run · date

The date of your next scheduled payroll when a pay schedule is set in Settings. It stays hidden when you run payroll manually.

Recent activity table

The activity table shows your most recent payouts and runs. Amounts shown here come from your private ledger and render only on your device.

Run payroll

Open the payroll wizard to select recipients, review, and settle a batch.

Add one person or import a CSV, and send registration invites.

Top up your confidential balance with the faucet, a bridge, or a deposit.

First run checklist

A brand-new account opens on a short checklist that guides you to your first payout. Each step checks off on its own, and the whole card disappears once you are set up.

1. Register your confidential account

   A one-time setup that derives your viewing key from your wallet so you can hold a private balance. Nothing leaves your device.

2. Add funds

   Get test USDC into your balance with the one-click faucet, or bridge in from another chain.

3. Add your first contractor

   Add someone to pay and invite them to register their confidential account.

4. Run a test payout

   Send a single payout end-to-end to confirm the full flow, from proof to settlement.

Empty state versus active state

Empty state

Before you fund or add anyone, the hero balance reads zero, the stats show no contractors and no last payroll, and the activity table shows an empty prompt. The first-run checklist takes center stage and points you to the next step.

Active state

Once you are funded and paying people, the hero balance shows your spendable figure, the stats fill in with live counts and your last run, and the activity table lists recent payouts with explorer links. The primary actions stay pinned at the top.

Tips

Watch pending before a run

If you just funded, give the pending amount a moment to merge into available. The payroll wizard checks available balance, so a merged balance keeps a large run from being blocked.

Jump from activity to proof

Every settled row links straight to the block explorer, which is the fastest way to hand someone public proof that a payout settled.

FAQ

Why can't Confiroll see my balance?

Your confidential balance is stored on-chain as encrypted state. The only key that decrypts it is your viewing key, which is derived from your wallet and stays on your device. Your browser reads the chain and computes the figure locally, so the number is never sent to a Confiroll server. That is what “only you can see this” means on the hero balance.

What does the pending balance mean?

Incoming funds land in a receiving bucket first and become spendable after they merge into your balance. While that merge is settling, the amount shows as pending. Merging is fee-sponsored, so it costs you 0 XLM, and the pending figure moves into available once it completes.

How does the balance refresh?

The dashboard recomputes your balance from current chain state each time you open it, and after any action that changes it, such as funding or a payroll run. Because the math runs in your browser with your viewing key, a refresh reads the latest encrypted state and decrypts it locally.
